Gabe Marihugh has been a freelance web designer for the past 7 years. He has built sites for clients such as the American College of Sports Medicine; Jeff McBride (one of the world’s foremost magicians); the movie Trail of the Screaming Forehead, the forthcoming movie Alien Trespass, and much more.
Gabe specializes in custom Flash websites. He provides his clients’ audiences with engaging, easy-to-use interactivity while delivering information clearly. Each project poses a unique creative challenge that Gabe enjoys finding the perfect solution for. He has built small to mid-sized business sites with blogs, games, ecommerce, forums, and video/music players. Over the years he has played many roles on projects and is happy to work in whatever capacity is called for, including solo project developer, project head, lead flash developer and graphic designer.
In addition to his obsession with new media, Gabe is also a musician with a love for the exotic and enchanting sounds of the didjeridoo, Native American flute, frame drums, clay udu drums and voice. He lives in Seattle, WA where he enjoys drinking green teas, hiking and watching sci-fi series with his wife.
On the technical side he is proficient in CSS design, Flash cs3, Actionscript 2 & 3, Photoshop cs3, Dreamweaver cs3, Illustrator cs3, Vue 6 Infinite (3D), Sound Forge 8, Pro Tools 7 and Vegas Video 8. He also has olenty of experience with Javascript and PHP.

"Book Club" is an original comedic drama filmed in Seattle and broadcast world wide via the Internet. It is written, produced and directed by Seattle local Romney Humphrey. The site includes a Flash episode player, creator’s blog and discussion forum for fans and book clubbers.
I chose Gabe to do my own website after working with him on several client sites. His technical skills are outstanding and he has a comprehensive understanding of the Web. The American College of Sports Medicine’s new project aims to shed light on the health levels of the cities across the nation and offers direction on how to improve them. The site includes a Flash home page displaying each city’s ranking on an interactive map, news blog and extensive project documentation. As part of the project’s unveiling at their yearly conference I created a widescreen HDTV animation with music to go along with their presentation.
The level of professional integrity, creativity, and flexibility Gabe brought to the ACSM American Fitness Index website and flash video for our program launch was phenomenal. Gabe is completely an "above and beyond" professional and an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish.

This is the site of the visionary artist, musician and all around mystical man Amoraea Dreamseed. The interface is Flash-based and features an image gallery of his paintings, an mp3 media player to sample his many albums and extensive support info on his workshops and seminars.

Fleischman Field Research is a marketing research firm in San Francisco. The highlight for me on this project is the opening animated running guys. I created the animation from a single still image – very fun. The site itself features Flash interfaces for navigation, facility slide show, floor plan guided tour and specialty buttons.
